10/13/2008Leawood Fine Art Gallery is proud to participate in the 2008 Back in the Swing Event taking place on October 13th-19th in the Kansas City Region. The full 100% of the $25 Shopping Card purchase price is donated to local breast cancer survivorship programs and research through Back in the Swing®, the local nonprofit organization founded in 2000, in affiliation with the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation.
Summer Art Crawl Benefit a Success!
7/23/2008Our Summer Art Crawl which benefited Animal Haven was a great success. We had a tremendous turnout to view the beautiful art by Steve Defenbaugh and the custom jewelry by Diana Abitz.
Every dog that Animal Haven had in their outdoor tent, ended up with homes. A family dining at Cactus Grill came out after dinner and the children recognized one of the dogs ( a neighbors). Chapman senior Corgi Mix, was reunited with his family after our art event, his real name "Peanut" was missing since July 4th.
Much thanks to Spaces Kansas City, KCTV5, Radio Station 94.9 and all who helped make this event so special! Watch for the photos of those winners of our drawing prizes to be up shortly! The prizes included a painting by Steve Defenbaugh, a custom neklace by Diana Abitz, and a painting by an elephant in Thailand donated by the president of Animal Haven, Ralph McMurray.

Spring Art Crawl a Success !
4/20/2008Fun was had by all at the Johnson County Canvas Spring Art Crawl at Leawood Fine Art Gallery The Opening Reception Friday evening we had a huge turnout in spite of drizzly springtime weather. The music by The Steve Gray Trio was superb. It was very exciting to see the new works of art. If you missed this event mark your calendar for July 18 & 19th for our Summer Art Event!
