Lee Bowers is a native of Topeka, Kansas. Lee has been painting in one medium or another for most of her life. She recently committed herself entirely to her painting, after a twenty five year career in designing and directing animated graphics and special effects for film and television in both Los Angelos and Kansas City.

Her painting career  in the arts began at Southern Methodist University in Dallas where she received her BFA. She received her MFA at California Institute of the Arts. Lee currently resides in Kansas City.
