About the Artist

Originally from San Antonio, Todd White has been honing his artistic skills and developing his unique character.  His works evoke a timeless mood while his strong sense of color and his attention to facial expressions pulls the viewer into the visual narrative.  Many viewers relate immediately to the characters in each work.  Todd now makes his home in L.A., where he has worked through the years as an animator for such shows as "Tiny Toons" and most recently, "Sponge Bob Square Pants."

Todd White captures Hollywood life by illustrating moments of allure, mischief, seduction, and other nighttime-induced emotions.  His timeless scenes are dominant in background khakis, reds, wines, ambers, and whites, and each tell a story of passion-between lovers, friends, patrons, and co-workers.  Scenes depict evening filled with wine, martinis, coffee, cigarettes, cigars, sex, cameras, and women.  Physiques are exaggerated and texturized to illustrate the subject's story-masked masculinity, flowered femininity, or elusive mystery.  White manipulates details and backgrounds to captivate the viewers' eyes and transplant them into the scene.  Each painting is asymmetrical in nature yet confident and strong; they personify the human spirit's desire to be distinct.
