Kathleen Patton and her works of art will be featured in an upcoming edition of Art Business News. Exclusive & very Unique Works of Art!
Kathleen Patton has been a working Graphic and Fine Artist in the Kansas City area for over 25 years. Using Lacquer as a medium since 2001, the vibrant colors and unique blending capabilities has complimented her favorite subjects of Koi ponds and Alaskan river stones.
The Iron Deposits on Stones paintings developed from a trip to Alaska where water, rich in iron, had dripped onto river rocks located in the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park & Preserve. The natural coloration and circular patterns, created by the constant dripping, was the inspiration for the series.
